This is an opportunity to improve skills, build confidence and polish up technique in a fun and friendly environment.

Places are limited and are on a first-come first-served basis.

All abilities and levels are welcome!

Cost £330

·         6 x group and individual sessions over the three days

·         Up to three nights’ stabling onsite

·         All meals provided in on-site marquee

·         Informative and entertaining evening speakers

·         Onsite shower and toilet block

·         BS standard show jumps and XC fences

What size will the groups be?

We will split riders into groups of 4 for jumping sessions and groups of two and individual slots for flatwork. We will endeavor to sort people into groups where they have a similar level of training so please tell us as much as you can about yourself and your horse on your booking form.

What sort of sessions will there be?

Everyone will take part in 2 flatwork, 2 show jumping and 2 XC sessions. The flatwork lessons will include an individual test riding session (please bring a copy of a test you would like to run through), while the jumping sessions will include course riding and XC technique. You are welcome to watch any of the sessions you are not riding in, and Lucy and Padraig will be on hand during the day and in the evenings for horse-related advice.

Will we use the XC course?

Whilst the XC course as a whole won’t be available until after the April BE event, Bicton have kindly agreed to allow us use of some permanent XC fences and mobiles out on the grass. The XC technique sessions will take place in the main sand arena.

Will bedding be provided?

Stables will be supplied with a fresh bale of shavings or straw as requested. Additional bedding can be bought onsite at £5 per bale for straw or Zebra bedding, and £8 per bale for shavings.

Can friends and family attend?

Of course, although if they require meals these need to be booked in advance and will have to be paid for.

What is the minimum age?

Whilst there is no minimum age of either horse or jockey per se, we would ask both parents and riders to keep in mind the intensity of a three-day camp. All (human!) participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or responsible adult.

Are there any additional costs?

Extra bedding and meals as described above. 50p for the shower. Any additional nights’ stabling cost £20 per night. Hook is also available on request but will need to be paid for.
