Course Description:

DRESSAGE - Dressage takes place on purpose levelled arenas away from all the Show Jumping and Cross Country action. CIC** dressage will take place in the iconic Main Arena which provides a unique opportunity for horses to gain valuable experience in an atmospheric setting. The AI and BE100 Open will do their dressage in the Newbery Showjumping Arena, which provides an excellent opportunity for those competing at Badminton Grass Roots Championships to ride the Championship Test in a 20 x 60m arena.

SHOW JUMPING - All national classes will be on the 90m x 50m Sport Track Pro-Wax surface. The CIC** will Show Jump in the Main Arena.

CROSS COUNTRY - The courses run through Grade One Listed Parkland over undulating, well draining permanent pasture. Fences are up to height, solidly built and are considered to be fair but challenging, rewarding forward and accurate riding. Great attention is paid to footing, as well as presentation and dressing of all courses.

The CIC** has a wide variety of questions which are fair and obvious to younger horses as well as the more experienced. It is significantly different to the Intermediate track and provides a great set-up for a CCI**. There are options at all questions to ensure completion.

The Novice & Intermediate tracks will be ideally suited to this stage in the season, asking fair questions but offering alternatives at the more difficult fences.

The 90 & 100 tracks will be encouraging for those stepping up to these levels early in the season, whilst also offering enough to jump for more established combinations.
