Grass Arenas

Bicton Arena boasts two superb grass competition arenas which include its iconic Topspec Main Arena (shown below) along with its picturesque Ariat Arena.

We also have purpose levelled grass dressage arenas for the Horse Trials.

Cross Country Course

The course meanders through the Grade One Listed Parkland. Its sandy loam old turf provides good going all year round over the mildly undulating terrain. We can offer courses from 80cm to 1.10m. The whole cross country course is available on specified days only due to the Parkland needing to remain in top condition for our multiple Affiliated Events.

Bicton Arena has 116 permanent stables including a 3-horse wash down bay. We have 160 of our own temporary stables and we can order in more as we need them.

Hook up is available to purchase when booking stables – this can sell out quickly, so we would advise you to book well in advance.

Bedding and forage is available for purchase at all of our events. All bedding must be ordered on arrival from the stable manager’s office.

Food & Drink

The Bolting Horse are onsite for all our events, they provide a scrumptious toastie menu, a sweet and savoury crepe menu, bacon rolls and the ever popular ’Dirty Mule’ (brioche bun with tasty grilled chicken, crispy bacon, melted mozzarella, crunchy lettuce and drizzled with a choice of 3 dressings) all their cakes are homemade and they pride themselves on great coffee too!

For our muli-day shows we bring in additional food vendors.

Bicton Arena has a permanent toilet/shower block which boasts superb facilities.

Wifi access is available in the Marquee Clubhouse and the Show Office.
